I drove to the end of the pier and found a wholesale fish market. I bought great shrimp for $6/lb- had fun preparing them at the hostel and a beautiful salmon fillet for $10/lb. There was a nearby pizza place that smelled great and I hear the Lighthouse Restaurant is good and reasonably priced.

The entrance to the Bay at Pacific Grove- very picturesque and accessable rocks to climb on. Stop by and see the migrating monarchs nesting a couple of blocks away- free- on Ridge Rd. nearby

Elkhorn Slough- kayaking just up the coast - 30 min. away. Mystery Spot in Santa Cruz just a couple miles out of town Botanical Gardens up at UC Santa Cruz.

Ofcourse. The Thanksgiving Dinner was amazing. As mentioned by a staff, I fulfilled the tradition by overeating the thanksgiving dinner because it was so good.
