Great bike ride going north from Monterey, it goes into the old Fort Ord along the beach with spectacular views. Warning -- there are 2 bike trails going north, one is the CalTrans route that goes along the Hwy, the beach one takes off from the CalTrans trail north of Monterey to the left, going up a hill. NOT well marked.
