Watch out... it's kind of hard to get out of Santa monica.. I mean.. you have to go till Los Angeles to catch a bus... witch could by long enough. And to rent a car is pretty expensive (I wanted to rent one for a day and to drop it off in san diego: $ 154... only one company avalaible...) |

The hostel is really excelent in terms of entertainment. Every day is day of doing something. I really enjoyed the activities, mainly the comedy shows and the free tours. Congrats! |

There are 3 Hop On, Hop Off bus tours (Santa Monica, Hollywood and Downtown LA, interconnecting)--about 2 hrs each if you don't get off) for total of $35 for all 3. The hostel advertises other tours that are more expensive. You can pick this one up at Santa Monica Pier. |

Take Big Blue 10 to Union Station and then Gold line rail to Pasadena (Allen station) to the Huntington Library and magnificent botanical gardens. It's a hidden treasure and an outstanding place |
