MUST EAT AT CPK. (California Piaaz Kitchen). It's a little pricey, but definitely worth it! :) There's an ABC Convenience store on literally EVERY CORNER... so you'll never be in lack of food... Beware food and smokes in Waikiki are VERY EXPENSIVE... like $7 for a pack of smokes and $3 for 1/2 dozen eggs... Oooh-- you also must try the Chocolate Coconut Sprinkle Cones they have at the Baskin Robins 2 blocks down from the Hostel!!! $5 bucks each but Yum Yum!!! :) |

There's a Free Luau Dance Show on Waikiki Beach - 5 minute walk from the Hostel every week night at 630PM- 730pm...sunset... on that outdoor stage... VERY ENTERTAINING. And dont miss the Fireworks on Friday nights at 7pm at Waikiki either!!!! :) EVERY NIGHT on Kalakaua Avenue they have STREET PERFORMERS TOO!!! While you are Shopping!!! Just a heads up for the single young lady travelers out there... be careful walking around at night or exploring Waikiki Nightlife by yourself--- there is a LOT of Prostitution around the Waikiki nightclub scene, and I was mistaken for a hooker A FEW TIMES--even offered MONEY--- when clearly I was dressed MODESTLY and unlike the prostitutes... goes to show how big the industry is that Tourists are MISTAKEN for them... just BE CAREFUL and try to go out in groups of girls from the hostel to be on the safe side, especially when going to the bathrooms in night clubs! :) |

Don't bother with the Mexican place across the street as the food was BAD! The small shop built next to the police station on the beach has good food for the price. It doesn't look like much but they have daily specials that are pretty good. If you want Subway, don't go to the one on the strip. Walk back 2 or 3 blocks and save yourself $2-3!!! |

Dukes and RumFire (Both on the beach) are good hangouts with fun people. One street more inland from Price Edward (Where the hostel is at) has sevel bars that offer live music on certain nights. Some clubs are open till 4am!!! |

Hilo in Big Island to visit the active volcano and Mount Mouna Kea! The highlight of Hawaii. Also, Arnotts Lodge is the best hostel in Hilo, close to beaches with turtles, bike hire and excursions, including the only one in Hilo that goes up Mouna Kea. |
