Artists Cafe. On Michigan and Congress (just down the street!) Omelets are huge! ... I end up taking most of mine 'to go' and eating it for lunch. I have heard their chocolate shakes are great ... plan on trying one my next visit. |

Millennium Park - spend time wandering around the park and its gardens (beyond the Bean) and marvel at the flowers and skyscapers coexisting side by side. Riverboat tours are also a great way to see and learn about the architecture. |

If you want to venture out try Oak Park (Frank Lloyd Wright's neighbourhood) on the green line about 30 mins out of the city. It's a beautiful suburb with interesting history. |

if you did decide to do a "Tour bus" the hop on/off based from Millenium Park has a 3 day deal for less than 2 day charges, and it does 3 additional tours to Downtown. Stops are : West - china town, little italy & harpo studios. South - Museum of Science & Industry. North - Lincoln Park (Zoo - free), Wrigley Fields. |

If you happen to be in Chicago in July-August, I recommend the Chicago Outdoor Film Festival at the Grant Park. Weekly free classic film in the park! I really enjoyed it! |
