just stay here commute to dc a couple of days on marc train..wk. days only. take the circulator bus frm. train station in dc.only a buck...subway also from train.. you can get around cheap and go back to baltimore at 9 pm or 10:30....wk.days only! you can take subway out to hunnington..then catch a bus out to mt. vernon...the first president of the us's plantation...about $25 round trip from train station in dc including mt.vernon entry ..takes about 6 hours complete ...go early catch a museum in dc..before catching the marc train back...or just walk around the national mall and monuments free ...can also catch a bite in china town before marc train back ...all this can be done easy

HI-Baltimore hostel is located in the heart of downtown Baltimore City. Nestled between the Washington Monument and the Inner Harbor just off of Charles Street; the hostel is within walking distance to everything Baltimore City has to offer. Explore the world famous Lexington Market, walk along the water and discover the neighborhoods of the Inner Harbor, Harbor East, and Fells Point. Spend the day relaxing in the parks surrounding the Washington Monument or take a short trip to the rolling hills of Patterson Park. If it’s the wild that you are after, visit the National Aquarium and the Maryland Zoo. For sports activities, Camden Yards and Raven’s Stadium are a quick 10 minute walk from the hostel, just on the other side of the Convention Center. And don’t forget Washington DC is just a short 50 minute train ride away! HI-Baltimore hostel is part of the long and rich history Baltimore City has to offer. The hostel is located in an 1857 mansion across the street from America's First Cathedral – the Baltimore Basilica. We are proud to announce that the hostel now offers 49 beds with the addition of our newly completed 3 bed dorm and double bed private room located on our quiet and cozy lower floor. Our larger dormitory style rooms (12, 8, and 4 bed dorms) have a bathroom located in the room with the smaller dorm and private sharing a hall bath. We provide the sheets, towels, and blankets. Small lockers are available for use (bring your own padlock). Free pancake breakfast is available daily at the hostel. Plus Free WiFi.
