The shark farm in Bjarnarhöfn, where a very proud and friendly icelandic older man tried to tell us using hands and feet about the story of how his past 3 generations dried and processed shark. We actually were very enthusiastically encouraged to taste some. Cute little museum, but 'pay attention' there is a small fee of 700 kronar when entering.

The best resturant in the area by far was in Olasfvik, the next town west. It was a log cabin in the middle of town, friendly, fair price, good.

There was a tiny museum/cafe in the center and we had a nice little breakfast at what I believe was Kaffe Emil where a very nice older man served waffles with cream and jam and other pastries. Good coffee!

We had just come from the West Fjörds, Djúpavík specifically and we made our way over route 570 at the end of Snæfellsnes peninsular for an exciting and rugged trek in a cloud to the top of the glacier. Afterwards we went down to Borganes for lunch and the Settlement Center tour.
