The boat tripp on the aregentinian site is overadvertised. I would not do it agian lost of money.

We flew to Salvador from Foz ( it was 20 euro more expensive then bus) and from there took a bus to Chapada Diamanta - great pleace

Paraty RJ is a lovely beach option. Small safe town with history, great bars, good HI hostel, horseriding, waterfalls in rivers, rainforest.....beautiful!
