The Black Forest is famous for its shady fir forests, rushing streams, towering mountains and ragged gorges. The area around Forbach is one of the most beautiful holiday regions in Germany and ideal for hiking. On your walks through unspoilt nature you’ll breathe unpolluted mountain air; you can drink fresh spring water and listen to the forest wildlife! Forbach lies in the dramatic landscape of the Murg Valley. The youth hostel is located on the edge of a forest where many hiking trails start. Facilities and service: • 15 rooms (2, 4 or 6 beds), overall capacity 74 people • all rooms with washbasin • showers and WC on each floor • sheets and breakfast included in the price • no self-catering kitchen • WiFi (fee applies) DJH or HI membership is required to stay at our hostel. Membership can be purchased at the hostel. Members over the age of 26 pay a surcharge of 4€ per person. 0.80€ tourist tax (for persons 16 years of age or over) is not included in the overnight price. Single occupancy surcharge for 2- or multi-bedded room is 10€ per person per night (subject to availability). Double occupancy surcharge for multi-bedded room is 5€ per person per night (subject to availability). If you stay with us, not only do you get many discounts all over the Black Forest, you can also get the KONUS Card which offers free public transport within a designated area. When you check in you’ll get the Black Forest KONUS Card for free. You only have to pay the normal tourist tax and you can take busses and trains in the KONUS totally free of charge.
