01 Aug 2009 Dawn, Canada:
We had come from Cinque Terre - magnificent and went on to the Amalfi Coast. Would recommend adding days to either end and skipping Florence next visit. Certainly would not stay at that hostel again. |

31 Jul 2009 Francisca, Netherlands:
Fiesole, nice little town with great sights a 30min busride from the SMN train station. |
|
|
29 Jul 2009 KATHERINE, England & Wales:
If you can, take a trip up to Fiesole - particularly when it's dark - as you get the most incredible view over Firenze |

You must eat at iguigiulo (sp?) which is across the street from the entrance to the hostel gate. Amazing food and wine for a great price, you will probably be the only non locals in there which is always a good sign amd the staff is the best!!! |

15 Jul 2009 Michael, USA:
If you walk out of the hostel top the left and walk about 5-10 minutes, you will find some nice, inexpensive restaurants. I forget the name of the one my friend and I went to but it was much cheaper than all the touristy spots up the Grand Canal and it had 12 euro litres of wine.. not bad!! |

13 Jul 2009 Christin, USA:
Fiesole is just up the road on the #7 bus and it feels much like Tuscany - a good way to get out of the city for half a day. You can also walk there in about 45min. with great views of Florence in the distance! |

15 Jul 2009 Michael, USA:
Venice is absolutely beatiful. Be ready to walk and walk and walk to explore all the side streets. It's not much of a party town.. I wouldnt stay any more than 2 days because it can get expensive and there really isnt a whole lot to do at night. |

|
13 Jul 2009 Ana, Brazil:
Piazzale Michelangelo, across the river. Great view of the town! |
|
|
13 Jul 2009 Jodie, USA:
The local pizzeria across the street at the bottom of the driveway. GREAT prices and super friendly staff - house wine is fantastic and only 6 euro per litre. |

|
13 Jul 2009 Jodie, USA:
Not a whole lot nearby as you are essentially in the suburbs of the city. There is a fun Irish pub at the top of the hill but you need to take a taxi there and back. |
