There is a very expensive restaurant in Flam hotel, and everything in the supermarket is expensive, but there is some frozen carbonara-type stuff, which is quite good, and reasonably priced |

You probably won't be able to string Flam out for more than a day or two, unless you get on the (expensive) Flam railway, and walk back. Head out of Flam (on the railway) to Burgan or Oslo |

HI Hostel FlåmFlåm YH is a seasonal hostel, which is opened from the1st April till 31st October. The hostel is situated at the end of Norway's steepest train ride; the Flåm Railway and the Navvies' Road cycling track from Haugastøl via Finse (1,222 metre above sea level) to Vatnahalsen and then down the Flåm valley. Being situated at a narrow sidearm of the Sognefjord there are daily ferry and boat connections to a.o. Balestrand, Fjærland, Gudvangen and Bergen. | more...... |
