Don't miss... 01 Aug 2008 Ivo, Belgium:
The IMMA (little bit out of town but easily within reach by tram), the Hugh Lane gallery (especially the Francis Bacon atelier) and the rest of the town. Good for 3 or 4 days. The Wiclow mountains are very beautiful when not raining.
01 Aug 2008 Ivo, Belgium:
Nice city, but when you are in for the beautiful, deserted, countryside for a change, try Connemara, Co. Mayo, The Burren or Co. Donegal. Alone with sheep.
For good eats check out... 19 Jul 2008 Franziska, USA:
shop at grocery stores...its way cheaper than eating anywhere
For good eats check out... 08 Jul 2008 Lee, USA:
Eats are expensive in Dublin - but check out Zaytoon Persian Food just upriver from the Temple Bar District on the corner of Capel Street. An excellent shish-kebab and a coke can be had for only 10 euro. I ate there twice in my 6 days in Dublin.
08 Jul 2008 Lee, USA:
catch the train Kilkenney, and travel west to Cashel & Cahir. Two of the best days of my vacation where in these smaller towns. The Rock of Cashel & Cahir Castle were both enjoyable, but the traditional music & dance show at Bru Boru at the foot of the Rock of Cashel was a balst for only 20 euro.
For great nightlife try... 28 Jul 2008 Gabriele, Italy:
pub with live traditional music
Don't miss... 14 Jun 2008 Jose, Portugal:
I’d then recommend an outstanding two-hour walking tour of the city conducted by history graduates of Trinity College. It leaves from the Trinity College front gate at 11 am and 3pm in summer, with just one tour at 11 am in the cooler months (www.historicalinsights.ie/tour.html). The tour, which costs just 10 Euro, covers major features of Ireland’s history.
For great nightlife try... 08 Jul 2008 Lee, USA:
If you want traditional music - get out of Dublin. Ardee is close and a good location for historical tourism on the Tain Trail - and the pub I went to had Traditional Music on thursday night which was a blast.
Don't miss... 08 Jul 2008 Lee, USA:
the Book of Kells - not like that should be a surprise to anyone.
04 Jul 2008 Marsha, USA:
Foulksrath Castle - unbelievable- sleeping in a real castle.
