Our Galway Hostel, Doorus House sits on a peninsula between the bays of Galway and Kinvara at the base of the Burren Mountains and just 29 kilometres south of Galway City. This stunning setting offers a great base for exploring the breathtaking Connemara to the north, the world famous Burren close by, the staggering Cliffs of Moher to the southwest and the unforgettable Aran Islands off the West Coast. This really is the ideal location to experience some of the highlights of a holiday to the West of Ireland. The original discussion took place in this house between W.B.Yeats, Sir Edward Martyn and Lady Gregory which lead to the foundation of the famous Abbey Theatre.
