Dont miss Teotihuacan, save your money ont he expensive tours you can take the metro to "Autobuses del Norte" then take the "teotihuacan" bus out to the site, this will cost (with site entry) less than 150mxp (you can do this cheaper if you take a mini combo bus) also dont miss the government palace, this is across the square from the hostel, its free entry and houses some amazing artworks as well as being an impressive building. |

There are some awesome caves--las Grutas de la Estrella and las Grutas de Cacahuamilpa--in Guerrero, a 3 hour trip. In Ixtapan de la Sal, a 2 hour trip, there is an enormous waterpark that's best in the warmer part of the year (April-September). If ruins are your thing, there are some cheap, quality ruins in Tenango and Malinalco. |
