One of the guys that sleeps/works/hangs out at the Dragontown hostel is also a club promoter. He took myself and a few other foreigners to CC club where we were served free drinks all night (I was told this happens every night) |

DO NOT VISIT CAFETERIAS IN THE STREET THIS HOSTEL IS LOCATED IN! It's all tasteless and extremely expensive. Actually, I didn't like Chengdu specialties at all, but those ones were unreasonably expensive and disgusting, really. |

We asked MeiMei where somewhere good to eat was (preferably Chinese meal with some english menu). She suggested a place about 3 streets away called Jia Jia. it was delicious!!! and the family that run it were so friendly and lovely. Just get the hostel to write the restaurant in Chinese, as there is no english on the outside. Really yummy!!! |

HI Hostel Chengdu - Dragon Town International YHHi, welcome to Chengdu and thanks for taking the time to find a little more about us. The DRAGON TOWN Youth Hostel has been running for over 6 years and it has a great name not only in the word of mouth, but also can be found easily in quite a few guide books. The Hostel is in a very traditional Sichuan styled courtyard house, in the downtown of Chengdu, the best part of the preserved HUTONG area with easy access of all transportation to all terminals. It takes only 12 minutes to walk to the city center Mao’s statue, and 5 minutes walk to the Central People’s Park (Where you can enjoy a cup of tea). Our hostel is actually a family-owned facility offering all its guests a warm personal welcome and detailed services in a relaxed atmosphere of peace and tranquility where you won't feel alone, cause in our little café you can meet all kinds of backpacking people from all over the world. The friendly staff speaks excellent English and would love to help you with all your needs, all our lovely rooms are clean and comfortable, and they are all in a very good value. The hostel’s café is ready to serve you the best quality things from your first coffee when you wake up… ...In the sense of home, Dragon Town Youth Hostel is the warmest while you are traveling... | more...... |
