Visit Narbonne - lovely town also, many historic attractions and cheap accommodation at international youth centre (right behind cathedral)

very quiet in midweek, but there is a club (I think it is maybe called The Club or something similar!) across the square from the train station. Couple of Irish pubs, one of which at least shows football etc
