The castle is awesome. Hike into the hills behind the castle and watch the sunrise with some french cheese and fresh bread! Have dinner on the ramparts. Also try to get to narbonne if you can (train from carcassonne pretty cheap). |

Cant beat picking up bottle of wine, some cheese and meats and just sitting by the canal! Make sure you sample the traditional cassoulet dish - delicious |
