follow the locals to where they seem to be congregating. Food at these places are cheep (10 pesos a taco) and good! Another great place for Vegetarians if you are missing veggies is 100% natural just a 5 minute walk away. This is more expensive then a taco stand, but still reasonable (60-80 pesos). |

make your way to Tulum at some point. This is a great place full of people biking, with lots of athletic activities to do everyday. when there stay at Pasado los Mapachas, this is an amazing hostel that gives you bikes to use at no cost. |

Anywhere not in the hotel zone will be affordable. There is a small steak house that on Av Tulum right before the Burger King that makes steak dinners for $90 MX if you get tired of Mexican food. |

I´d skip trying to see all the Mayan ruins unless you´re a serious history student. Go to Belize instead. |
