Visit Schloss Habsburg, a 1000 year old castle built by the Habsburg family. They have very nice restaurant with an excellent chef and prices in the range of restaurants in this part of Switzerland.

the pizza & gyro place next to Rotes Haus hotel. more expensive but ever so nice is Gasthaus Lowen in Umiken just across the big walking bridge. Frau & Herr Gamba were very gracious even when we showed up with 15 people without prior notice.

Another excellent hostel in Germany is in Bacharach. It is also an old castle that has been renovated on the inside and has great views up and down the Rhein and vineyards all around.
