07 Jul 2008 Jason, USA:
The Halve Maan tour is definitely worth it, especially on a nice day because it includes a nice rooftop view of the city. The narrow stairways would be a challenge for those with leg problems, but they added to the adventure. Also on a nice day, a boat tour is worth the price, especially if you have a short stay in the city. Its obviously touristy, but gave a nice sense of the city and allowed you to see much more easily and completely than by foot. |

Would recommend Ieper - WWI battle sites and cemetries interesting and moving. On the coast, De Haan and Nieuwpoort are much the nicest towns. Hostel at Oostduinkerke is very nice. |

23 Jun 2008 Catherine, Scotland:
Exploring the city by bike - gets you away from the crowds and you can see lots in a very short time. The Flanders countryside is also easily accessible by bike - head out along the canals to Damme or to Ghent. |

Porta take-away @Walstraat 4. There is only one friendly lady manning the whole shop and she's the owner/boss and she makes her own pasta. |

21 Jun 2008 Wai, England & Wales:
If you're planning to do a day-trip to the coast towns, I recommend Oostende and De Haan. |
