Try just outside the hostel, they my not be the most cheap, but for a main course only the rice is very good and the food is excellent, plus you get the feel of spending your evening with the locals.

There are some regular nightclubs that you can go to. If you're like me and prefere to hear what you think then there's a places called charlie rockets which is a oldschool looking rockbar with pool tables, really nice place.
