Travel Tips for HI Hostels in BrazilBook
|
Manaus - Hostel Manaus, Márcio, Brazil:
There is a dish called TACACA that is delicious and you can eat it in the Police Square (is the best and not expensive there) |

|
Rio de Janeiro - Adventure Hostel, Heather, USA:
City tour arranged by hostel -- included hike in Tijuca Parque, Corcovado (Cristo Redemptor), lunch in Santa Theresa, and optional dropoff at Sugarloaf. Tour-goers were all hostellers from nearby hostels, so a great time to meet other independent travelers. Also Jardim Botanica was nice - take a cab, though, if going from Ipanema. |

|
Salvador - do Porto, Brunno, Brazil:
There's a supermarket in front of the hostel that can be a good option for those who want to save some money and make their own food in the kitchen. Don't leave Salvador without trying the famous Bahia's traditional food Acarajé. You can find many around the city, but the best one I tried was also in Rio Vermelho neighborhood. |

São Paulo - Praca Da Arvore, Thomas, USA:
metro is way to get around this huge city. |
