Vintgar gorge is great - enjoyable 3km walk to the gorge, 4euro entry. The lake, the castle, the surroundings. Catch a bus to lake Bohinj - there is a hostel at Bohinj, but it only serves breakfast and its a 20 min walk to the town for food.

There's a pastry shop down the street with a giant bear on the glass. It has awesome hot cocoa and the national Slovenian pastry, something like creme roll, I can't remember, except how awesome it tastes.

Youth Hostel BLEDEC is completely renovated and has been continuing a 70-year-old tradition of youth tourism at Bled. It is situated in a peaceful part of town. A 5-minute walk brings you to the lake. The walking path takes you to the castle (within less than 10 minutes).
