Great walk around the lake. Do not miss the artists selling their paintings, especially Rakinic as he did an on the spot caricature of us on the back of the small watercolour that we purchased from him. All this for 4 euros. A great souvenir! |

Lake Bled is obvious - the "gondola" out to the island in the lake is 12 euros per person, but two or three people can rent a rowboat for about 8 euros. The Vintgar gorge is a must-see (4 euros), and a bike rental (11 euros / day, 8 euros / half day) will let you explore the many bike trails in the forests and mountains! |

| HI Hostel Bled - BledecYouth Hostel BLEDEC is completely renovated and has been continuing a 70-year-old tradition of youth tourism at Bled. It is situated in a peaceful part of town. A 5-minute walk brings you to the lake. The walking path takes you to the castle (within less than 10 minutes).
