HI Hostel BlaubeurenBlaubeuren is nestled in the picturesque old Danube valley between forested mountains and sheer rocks. Here you’ll find more caverns to explore than in any other German region. Visit Blaubeuren Benedictine monastery and travel back in time in the Museum for Prehistory. The town is famous for its Blautopf spring, according to legend inhabited by a beautiful water maiden. The youth hostel has four common rooms for 30 to 50 people. By removing the partitions these can be made into two large rooms for 100 people each. We also have a separate lounge for group leaders. Our facilities include TV, piano, bike shed, board games, foosball, board games etc. Attractions in the area: outdoor, indoor and leisure pools, football pitch, playgrounds, tennis court, half-pipe for skateboarding, Blautopf sightseeing train, climbing wall (in Laichingen), Legoland Günzburg (40km), Laupheim Observatory (27km), Merklingen Model Railway Show (20km), Obermarchtal and Zwiefalten monasteries (40km), Swabian Baroque Route and Swabian Poets’ Route etc. There are many interesting hikes where you can take in the breathtakingly beautiful landscape with its majestic mountains, green valleys, caves and castles. | more...... |
