Went to Richterswil and stayed in H.I. there also. A really beautiful hostel. Next place will, hopefully be somewhere in south America.

I passed Le Iris on main street walking down to Porta Nuovo from funiculare - it smelt amazing & was very busy - good prices, on my list to try on my next visit

Billa supermarket is near bus stop 6 in Porta Nuova. Carrefour Express is on bus route 3. Nice, busy cafe outside walls at Colle Aperto.

Walk round town walls for quiet and views. Check out ornamental gates on church. Rub coat of arms with 3 testicles(!) for luck. If summer funicular up to castle is closed, get replacement bus 22 from Colle Aperto. Great views.
