13 Aug 2010 Matthew, England & Wales:
We went on a hostel-organised trip to the local opera; don't bother - just buy tickets yourself. The trip was being led about 300 yards by foot.... There's a poster in the lobby saying do not go on trips with 'Jack', organised by the shop next to the hostel, because he is dishonest and not professional. Jack's trips are a fraction of the cost of those organised within the hostel (eg, Great Wall, 140 versus 380 RMB). We went with Jack; it was fine. I wrote something to this effect on the poster and, next time I looked, my note had been torn out. Someone's got it in for Jack. |
