basically all the restaurants on that street are pretty cheap. there's a dumpling place and noodle place maybe 5 stores down to the right of the hostel, clean and very affordable. |

I think one of the best places in Beijing in general at night is Houhai. It happens to be within walking distance from this hostel or you can take a 10yuan cab ride if your lazy haha many live entertainment bars and restaurants at night. |

-The hostel kitchen is actually quite excellent -For a cheap lunch/dinner try the Lao Bei Jing Jiao Zi Guan (Old Beijing Dumplings Restaurant) -For a nice taste of home "The Box" has a great selection of expat food |
