the foods are expensive and limited. The accommodation are reasonable but not clear on the website. |

Recommend the Great Wall Hiking day trip organised by the hostel which drops you off in at Jinshaling and picks you up at Simatai (6 km away) The hike took us 3 hours due to lots of photo stops and steep terrain and enabled us to see a part of the wall with very few tourists and great scenery. |

There's a small cafe/resturant opposite the road the hostel is on that does really nice food, 2 dishes and a beer for 25 Yuan |
