the amazing market next door with the freshest most delicious fruit ever and sooooo cheap its unbelivable. carrefour supermarket about 5 mins walk to stock up on water and food. check out soem of the restaurants near the harbour coming towards town as some offer great studen menus with a delicious paella. also, the big sqaure opposite for soem tapas. |

boulevard, roxy, opium. look out for the people offering free entry to clubs on the streets, we didnt spend a penny on goign out the whole time we were there by drinking before we left and then using all the free entry and free shot vouchers!! |

the cathedral although beware of pickpockets!! got all mymoney stolen by some kids who distracted us for 2 seconds, but that is enough!! dont let anyone stop you, keep your bag on you ALL the time and hide your money well. also, split it up, dont have it all on you. beware of people you ask yo take a picture of you,, always ask a couple of family. beach is gorgeous, and check out the work out station on the beach. bus tour is definately worth doing as you see all the main attractions that are too far to go to on foot and you can get off where you like. also, get amazing views over the whole of barcelona. beautiful city with so much going on, cant wait to go back!! |

anything greek... the greek food is very cheep and delicious. only €3,5 - €5 for a filling meal. if you are looking to save money, the market at La Rambla is amazing too. Very good fruit. |

anything by Gaudi... especially la Sagrada de Familia (the basement is a museum worth seeing) Parc Guell is amazing as is most of the architecture around the city Iglesia de Santa María del Mar and close to the hostel. oh and if you go to the very last beach on the coast it is the gay friendly/ clothing optional beach... very good for sun bathing. |
