Try "Fresco" or "Pans company", they serve salads or sandwiches. As a must, buy fruits and vegetables, macedonia salads at the "mercat de boqueria" on the ramblas. At the end of the day they sell 2 for 1. Pretty close to the hostel there is a Carrefour Express supermarket if you feel like cooking your own meal back at the hostel's fully equiped kitchen.
