The sagrada familia. But DON'T go when it's raining like we did, as you can't go up the towers. We only found out after queuing for ages. Pretty much everything costs to get in which is annoying, but definitely check out all the little squares like placa real. |

Any place away from Las Ramblas. The restaurants there are tourist attractions. If you take a quick train ride north, there are many cheap authentic options, but practice your Spanish before you go. I did this at least once a day for a good meal and usually sat with local people to chat about what to order and places to eat the next day. |

The fish & chip place around the corner (on the Rambla del Raval) is great value and has really friendly staff. Sit out the front and indulge in some fantastic hangover food. |
