A salad bar just off the Ramblas where you can eat vegetarian food. You turn left at between McDonalds and KFC. It is self-service but all very healthy and reasonable. |

Make sure you see Park Guell. Gaudi was a genius and I've not seen park like this anywhere else. You have to be prepared to climb over the hill though, so pick a cool time of day. |

| HI Hostel Barcelona - Mare de Deu de Montserrat The hostel Mare de Déu in Barcelona is located in a very peaceful area, but at the same time at only 15 minutes by underground (L3 Vallcarca station, exit Rep.Argentina) from the center. It is also connected via daytime buses (28 and 92) and night buses (N5), which makes the hostel a perfect starting point to visit the city.
Apart from being a modernist building with great historic and architectural value, the hostel has free services available to all the guests that can be very useful, such as parking for cars and for 2 coaches, a meeting room and an auditorium with capactiy for 150 people, as well as a spacious garden and a great terrace. Other free facilities are single lockers in the rooms, safety box, TV room and bed linen and breakfast are included in the price. Other paying facilities are the laundry, Internet access and meals service that consists of a two courses menu, with desert and a salad buffett.
