Park Guell within walking distance to see Gaudie house/museum and Gaudie made park. A must see. The Science museum has a fantastic live jungle with huge catfish and huge other fish swimming in water where jungle trees growing, live tapir and birds living; simulated rain conditions. Solar system movie at museum worth seeing also in simulated space room. |

Barca is obviously very touristy, so for the daytime (and perhaps even the night), just invest in a baguette and fillings from Carrefour on La Rambla (closed on Sundays). It kinda balances out the cost, especially if you go for a tip top evening meal. |

HI Hostel Barcelona - Mare de Deu de Montserrat The hostel Mare de Déu in Barcelona is located in a very peaceful area, but at the same time at only 15 minutes by underground (L3 Vallcarca station, exit Rep.Argentina) from the center. It is also connected via daytime buses (28 and 92) and night buses (N5), which makes the hostel a perfect starting point to visit the city.
Apart from being a modernist building with great historic and architectural value, the hostel has free services available to all the guests that can be very useful, such as parking for cars and for 2 coaches, a meeting room and an auditorium with capactiy for 150 people, as well as a spacious garden and a great terrace. Other free facilities are single lockers in the rooms, safety box, TV room and bed linen and breakfast are included in the price. Other paying facilities are the laundry, Internet access and meals service that consists of a two courses menu, with desert and a salad buffett.
