if u feel like splurging, go to Moon Bar on the roof of a hotel in the Sukhumvit area - a cocktail will set you back 350 Baht (about 12 dollars) but the view makes it absolutely worth it. There is a dress code though - no sandals, shorts, t-shirts, backpacks... |

Shanti -an amazing cafe bar. WAlk out of the hostel and turn right, walk up Phitsanulok and cross the main road, then turn right and take the first road on the left - it's surrounded by tropical plants and does THE best coconut milk porridge! |

The food around the corner at the Thewet Market are cheap and nice. You get to try out authentic local cuisine from noodle, porriage, stew pork, dessert to fresh fruits. The food stall starts operate from morning 7am till around 9.30pm. |
