The local grocery store Dekamart is not far -- just on the other side of the park. It has things like prepared foods and bread. On a Sunday the Dekamart is only open in the center of town--take the bus from the hostel and stay on it 2 or 3 stops past the train station to find that. The hostel staff didn't know that was open--I found that by accident while looking for somewhere to buy take-out. |

The town of Haarlem has a working restored windmill that is very pretty. Rent bikes and ride downtown or take the bus to the station and walk around the canals. The town of Haalem is similar to Amsterdam in looks but has fewer people. |

Kinderjïk, site classé UNESCO. Dix-neuf moulins à vent en parfait état. Situé à environ 1h30 de l'auberge. Schiedam, ville ou vous retrouverez le plus haut moulin à vent du monde. Et la visite du moulin à vent en vaut le détour. Pour ceux aimant le gin, l'excellent gin Bols et son musée est aussi à visiter. |
