01 Mai 2009 Justin, Etats Unis:
if you want to stick with the English-speaking tourists from America and Australia, go to Chatelet or Saint Michel to the Guiness Tavern or the places around there. If you speak French, head on over to the 11e. |

Musée d'Orsay also, climb to the top of the Arc de Triomphe for the best view of Paris... it cost a few Euro but it's worth it. Caveau de la Huchette and Caveau des Oubliettes (underground medieval cellars in Saint-Michel where you can hear live jazz music most nights) Marches aux Puces: learn how to speak French and you can joke around with the merchants and get good bargains. Also, there are a few good crepe places here The Christmas market at La Defense is pretty awesome. Bastille area cafes The Pont des Arts (if you want to hang out late night, bring your friends, a musical instrument, some food, and a bottle of wine) |

There's a petit casino just next to the metro station which is useful and a kitchen in the hostel. |

15 Avr 2009 Steven, Angleterre & Pays de Galles:
The nearby supermarket. The hostel's kitchen is quite reasonable, although you need to wash absolutely all the utensils and pots before using them. |

15 Avr 2009 Steven, Angleterre & Pays de Galles:
Paris obviously has many major attractions but they are all in the city centre, i.e. not in this hostel's neighbourhood. |

15 Avr 2009 Steven, Angleterre & Pays de Galles:
To a good hostel! This is likely not to be in France, because all the French youth hostels I know (2 in Paris, one in Strasbourg) are rubbish. If you want to stay in Paris comfortably you need a hotel, not a youth hostel. |
