Le minibus commandité par l'AJ pour faire le tour du Kerry qui s'arrête pour les photos (le circuit de la compagnie publique est plus cher et ne s'arrête qu'une fois pour les photos) Randonnée dans la valée sauvage au pied du Carrautoohill sommet de l'Irlande, quitte à faire du stop pour une bonne part jusque là (assez facile). |

2 mins walk from the hostel towards the lake is a Bar in a hotel, providing very good food with reasonable price. Right next to it is a local pub (with very dim light inside though). Therefore, if you wanna stay around the hostel without taking a taxi to Killarney town, they are your choice. |

Definitely climb the mountain to summit Carrauntoohil, on McGilliguddy Reek mountain, which is the highest point of Ireland. Taxi costs 25 Euro one way to a point called Cronin's Yard, where you can begin your hike. There is a cafe looked after by enthusiastic hikers. You can get refreshed before beginning your 6-hour hike (return time) to the summit. |

After a recommendation from the hostel staff, we went to Danny Mann's for the evening with our 2 children (aged 10 and 13 years). We had a lovely meal and had great time listening to the band. The recommendation was much appreciated and very suitable for our needs. |

The Skellig Ring: If you have a car, the Skellig Ring is a great extension of the Ring of Kerry and well worth the detour off the main road. |

| HI Hostel Killarney International, Co Kerry YHA L'AJ de l'Anneau de Kerry est une impressionnante demeure du 17ème siècle entourée de près de 30 hectares de pelouses et de bois, qui surplombe les lacs de Killarney et les montagnes du Macguillycuddy's Reeks. Si vous recherchez de la bonne cuisine, une bonne nuit de sommeil, de quoi laver et sécher vos vêtements, et une super ambiance, alors l'Auberge Internationale de Killarney est l'endroit qu'il vous faut. L'établissement a été rénové en deux phases, début 1999 et début 2000, pour aménager des chambres plus petites et des chambres familiales, une vaste zone de restauration et de préparation des repas (individuelle et collective), ainsi que de très confortables salons communs. Elle est au centre d'un paysage hors du commun, celui de l'Anneau de Kerry, qui ne demande qu'à être exploré.
