Poets and Busboys is buzzing at all hours up on U St and 14th St NW. Take the green DC Circulator bus with stops on 14th St NW (for only $1) instead of the metro or city bus. It's quicker and cheaper.

Maybe many people know that, famous hamberger restarant near HI. It's pretty good, espacially fries. But they accept only cash. Be careful.

Every buildings are good attractions. I stayed in DC for only two days. But I like DC better than New York.

Teaism. The location I visited was by the Archives (walk-able from the hostel), but I think there are others. Have the tea and oatmeal cookie but not the tofu scramble--it's pretty soggy.
