There is a Japanese restaurant on Jackson, just up from 6th ave, great deals at Happy Hour, just up the street is small bakery, great baked buns for under $2. |

You really can't beat it's location. It's a block away from the train station and a 20 minute ride by rail to the airport. The hostel is centered in an area that sees bus, train, and rail service which makes getting around incredibly accessable. |

A different neighborhood. Seriously. There are some decent Chinese and Pan-Asian places close by, but besides that...there's not a lot there to attract people to that section of town, particularly after dark. |

I really enjoyed the NW hostel in Portland and that section of downtown has a much more extensive night life than it did previously. |
