The local walks and the Monastery sites were stunning if I had stayed longer would have explored more of the Wicklow countryside. |

The Glendalough Hotel is the only place apart from the hostel to eat. Nice (though not cheap) food, friendly atmosphere |

Glendalough is just beautiful. There's numerous wonderful walks to take around the lakes (sadly, not a huge amount of info at the hostel, but there's a very helpful Information building hear the Lower Lake), and the ruins of the monastry, about three minutes' walk from the hostel (and one minute from the pub) are just sensational, not to be missed |
