Ein Gedi spa: mud, freshwater pool (great for the kids), sulphur pools and showers + best beach to enter the Dead Sea from.

Jerusalem is an easy day trip (1 hour away). Mamshit is an hour in the other direction and has a great camel ranch for camel rides. Also, Eilat is only a few hours south from here.

Nightlife in En Gedi is pretty limited, but there are always some friendly travelers hanging around the hostel and the nature centre next door.

The waterfall walk up Wadi David, next to the hostel. It's an easy walk and really beautiful.

We would have liked to visit more beaches...the En Gedi beach is pretty small and rocky, so access to the water is limited.

HI Hostel Ein Gedi

L'auberge Ein Gedi se trouve sur le site le plus bas du monde, en face de la mer Morte. En surplomb, les falaises du désert de Yehuda. 51 chambres climatisées, avec douche et salle de bain, téléviseur, de quoi faire du café et mini-bar (certaines chambres).
