I was in excursion vers Galway. I knew the Cliff of Mohen - imperdible ! Et connemara, interesting. I paid 70 € for 2 days of tour plus une nuit dans un hostel à Galway. If we buy the ticket in the HiHostel, the bus came to take us at the reception and I think it is chipper. |

Try to find the kebob place in Temple Bar. Its "Sulten" something or another. Has the sultan from Aladdin on it. We were lost when we found in but it was amazing. Lots of food (a huge lamb and chicken kebob, a drink, and basket of fries) for about 11 dollars/9 euro. Also found a really good tapas place along the river Liffy. It was across the the street from the Guinness brewery. Big City Diner close to Dorsett Street has a great Irish breakfast. If you are walking towards O'Connell Street, you will walk past it. It's on the left. Great place to eat at before you start your day. Also a good place of your from the US and starting to get homesick. They do burgers and legit new york style pizza. The guy that owns it used to live in NYC. If you want good cheao food, you're gonna have take some turns down streets and avoid places that are surrounded by tourists. Places along the main drags tend to be more expensive. |

We actually didn't do much nightlife. If you want to throw back a few but want to stay close to the hostel, go to the Lounge on the corner of Dorsett street. The older bar keep is really nice and friendly. It is where all the locals go to watch the football games so it gets roudy but it's a taste of where the locals go and what some of them do with their night. Once again, you will pass this place all the time anyway when you head down to O'Connell street. |
