Not to much right around the hostel some irish pubs in the town though.

The castle is awesome. Hike into the hills behind the castle and watch the sunrise with some french cheese and fresh bread! Have dinner on the ramparts. Also try to get to narbonne if you can (train from carcassonne pretty cheap).

Toute la cidadelle est très belle, j´ai aimé beaucoup le Musée de l´École, Le Chateau Comtal, et l´Eglise Saint Nazaire.

Restaurants are expensive inside of the cite. It worth to go buy some food and cook in the hostel kitchen.

Nothing much interresting down there in the carcassonne city, the medieval cite is the thing. Thats a 2 night tour, 3 is too much. You have plenty of time to visit all the ramparts and insite the cite, one more day to visit the castle, wich is still in the cite 70 steps from the hostel hehe
