There's not a lot to eat in Vik so enjoy the gas station. Otherwise there is a grocery market that has a nice selection of fresh fruits / veggies.

Look up groups like mountainguides.is (I think that's their site) and go ice climbing on the glacier. Skogar isn't too far and there's a great waterfall and small museum to check out.

The only restaurant in town (off-season) is at the petrol station and it closes at 7.30pm, so make sure you get there in time, otherwise there's nothing.

Bonus. The nearest one I found is in Selfoss (if you're driving from Keflavik) so stock up. I also hear there was a good local place serving amazing soup near the swimming pool.

HI Hostel Vík

El albergue está en Vik, un pequeño pueblo de unos 300 habitantes. Desde el albergue se disfruta de unas espléndidas vistas del pueblo. El albergue dispone de cocina para huéspedes y comedor. Todos los servicios que necesites están a mano. Dyrhólaey está a sólo 15 km del albergue.
