Make sure you go to the grocery store in Stavanger before getting on the ferry to Tau! There is nothing at the Prekeistolen lodge except for a very fancy, expensive restaurant and hiking trails (awesome). So bring your own food and use the kitchen :)

The hike to Bakken fjellgard offers some very nice viewpoints over the fjord and lovely paths through the forest but is the path is VERY steep at some points at the end more reminding of climbing than of trekking. Not advised in rainy weather.

HI Hostel Preikestolen

Este albergue es un albergue de temporada, lo que significa que no está abierto todo el año sino que cuenta con fechas de apertura de temporada. Tenlo en cuenta al consultar la disponibilidad. El albergue se encuentra en unos pintorescos entornos, en Ryfylke (altitud 250 mts). Es un buen punto de partida para hacer caminatas a la famosa Pulpit Rock (2 horas cada trayecto). El albergue cuenta con buenas oportunidades para caminar y pescar. Preikestolhytta es un albergue de montaña, por lo que tanto la conexión a internet como la cobertura móvil falla de vez en cuando.
