Another word about the location: it is possible to walk from the hostel to the Tour de Magne and down through the gardens, toward the centre ville, then pick up a bus and come back to the hostel (before 9pm or you'll walk up the mountain!). We did this when we arrived and loved it. Great way to orient yourself to the town and decide what you want to see in more detail. |

The Arena, with its audioguide tour (included in the entry price). Much better value than the arena at Arles because of its extensive information in a go-at-your-own-pace audioguide format. Really loved imagining what it would be like to be a gladiator back in the Roman days or a bullfighter/spectator in present times. Could not have been more pleased with this visit to the arena (especially after a disappointing, uninformative visit to the one in Arles.) |

Hostel's own food is fine and the beer is among the cheapest in town. The Irish pub - O'Flaherty's - is OK and often has live music as a bonus. |

Apart from the famous Roman sites in town it's now very easy and cheap to get to the Pont du Gard on the bus for a day trip. Ask at the hostel for info. Uzes is also well worth a visit. |

Make sure you visit the Pont du Gard. Although it's a lot easier if you have a car; there's not much close by. |

Se puede dejar el coche en el albergue,bajar a la ciudad caminando ,atravesando el parque y volver tras visitar los monumentos en autobús.la cuesta es dura si hace calor. |
