We were there for the July Matsui. Great moments. Really good festival. Weather was not too hot to our taste (around 30/35degC) bur really humid (80-85%). |

Kyoto can be packed with tourists (most of them Japanese), so if you want to escape head ot Kobune (North East mountains, approx 50min by train) for a nice hike in the mountains, cool temple, and if you fancy, one of the very rare onssen of the area (really good!). Another less touristy destination is TAKAO (approx 15/20 minutes by bus JR or nbr 8). Brilliant hike along a river, into which you can dive during the summer, really really really cool! And a few more temples to visit... |

All the temples within a walkable distance from Utano. Probably the best to see in Kyoto, but also enjoyed Gion and surroundings. |

El albergue Utano se encuentra en una tranquila zona residencial y cerca de muchos lugares de Patrimonio de la Humanidad y de monumentos, como Kinkakuji, Ryoanji, Movieland, Arashiyama y otros.
Simpáticos empleados, agradable hospitalidad, entornos confortables. Haremos que disfrutes de tu visita.
