The Gion Station area has many ancient Buddhist temples all within walking ditance from one another. You can take an afternoon and probably visit 6 or 7 temples, which is a great way to see local culture and visit historical buildings. The gardens of these temples range from pretty to absolutely beautiful. Fukuoka Tower is a great place to visit since you can see the whole city from the top and beside it is Robo-Square, a really interesting building that has a robot store and often holds robot exhibits. The airport or ocean port will both have visitors guides that contain maps, directions and descriptions of local attractions, so be sure to pick one up. |

| HI Hostel Hakata/Fukuoka - Fukuoka YH Este albergue juvenil se encuentra en el centro de la ciudad de Fukuoka, cerca de la estación de Hakata y de la de Takeshita. Está a sólo 5 minutos del aeropuerto internacional de Fukuoka (25 minutos a pie). En los alrededores del albergue hay una tienda de comestibles, un supermercado, restaurantes y tiendas donde venden los noodles Ramen.
