Cook some of your meals in the down stair kitchen and save some money if you don't feel like going out all the time. They have a large kitchen with refrigerators and cooking facilities. A scenic 5 minute walk takes you to the nearby Safeway for groceries and fresh fruits and vegetables. |

There's a Safeway's close to the hostel. It has a sandwich station and a great bakery section. |

A walk across Golden Gate bridge. If you enjoy an easy hike, walk a little further underneath the bridge and then over to Sausalito. Total 10 miles from Hostel. You can take the ferry back. Be sure to read which ticket to buy and note that the sign may be blocked by people in line. For Pier 39 buy your ticket on boat. ;) |

The Trolley rides! Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39 are fun, but great experience to have is the Trolley! And of course, Alcatraz. But, book WAY in advance, at least 2-3 weeks before your visit during summer time or you will miss out on getting a ticket to Alcatraz! |
